Breaking Down Baku – More Dominance From Mercedes

Another week, another 1-2 finish from Mercedes. This time, Bottas was at the top of the podium. He was followed by Hamilton and Vettel from Ferrari. With this victory Bottas retook the lead for the World Championship – leading Hamilton by one point.

With all the errors that took place during practice and qualifying I expected there to be much more action in this race. During qualifying we had back-to-back crashes on the castle corner from Leclerc and Kubica.

The only incident today was when Ricciardo locked up going into a corner, and headed off into a bail-out area. He took Kvyat from Torro Rosso with him. This resulted in Ricciardo backing into him.

Overall, a pretty boring race. I fell asleep.

The Next Race

On May 12th we have the Formula 1 Emirates Gran Premio de España. The track is called the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It will be a 66 lap race that takes place at 6:10 AM Pacific Time.

Last year Mercedes finished 1-2, Hamilton followed by Bottas. Verstappen from Red Bull took 3rd.

Who is going to win on May 12th? No clue. They will probably be driving a Mercedes though.
